Frédéric Cupillard wins Standard Bank Mauritius Open 2011

The first round of The Standard Bank Mauritius Open, on Thursday 16 December, saw a cool play from Tom Lewis with a 72 score, with a 33 (-2) on the last nine holes. Tom Lewis, winner of the Portugal Masters in 2011, is a young player managed by IMG. In this first round, Merrick Bremer (73) was just behind Tom Lewis, just as Frédéric Cupillard (73).
On Friday 17 December, second and last round for The Standard Bank Mauritius Open, score sheets changed with a constant effort from Frédéric Cupillard who scored 74 to win the competition (total of 147). Behind the French player, two Sunshine tour players: Merrick Bremner (73+76=149) and Christian Basson (76+76=152). A 81 score by Tom Lewis cost him his first place.
