Fabio originally came to Mauritius in 2001, from the Forte Hotel Group/Meridien Hotels, where he had worked since 1975. While with Forte Group/Meridien Hotels, Fabio worked in various management capacities in many different parts of the world.
Fabio is a graduate of the Hotel School Vico E. in Naples. Most recently, Fabio was in New York, where he worked as the Regional Managing Director for Meridien Americas from 1998. In that capacity, Fabio oversaw 18 hotels in the Americas, with responsibility and accountability for overall hotel operations, global sales and marketing and development.
Prior to joining the Americas Region, Fabio was the Managing Director of Agip Forte International, where he oversaw 18 hotels in Italy. His other assignments with Meridien Hotels have included:

He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sun Resorts in April 2007 and was simultaneously elected to the Company’s Board.
